Is there any guarantee or warranty with the auction items?
No, all items sold on this website or through the DPD Warehouse are sold AS-IS, there are no returns or exchanges, and no warranty either implied or given.
How do auctions work?
Auctions make items available for a predetermined amount of time. All auctions have a starting bid and The starting bid is the lowest amount that can be bid during the auction. Once the auction close date is reached an auction has ended and bidding is over. We do not extend our auctions in the last minutes of bidding, so place your max bid early!
What does it mean when an auction has a reserve?
Some auctions may have a hidden reserve price. The reserve price is determined at the creation of the auction. If the reserve price is not met, then the auction is not won and the item will be relisted.
How does bidding work?
Each bid you place on an item is your "maximum bid". If you bid $20 on an item that has a starting price of $10, then the price of the item becomes $10 and your highest bid becomes $20. If another bidder places a bid of $15 on the same item, then the item's current price becomes $16. Your current bid will automatically be incremented to $16 since your max bid is $20. If someone bids $20, then you will become the highest bidder with a bid of $20 since you placed a bid of $20 first. Anyone who bids higher than your max bid of $20 will become the highest bidder. Your max bid is not visible to anyone except for you. You can increase your maximum bid by bidding higher than it at any time.
How can I pay for my item?
Payment must be by personal check, money order, certified (or cashier) check or cash at the time of pickup. Checks will be made out to the “State of Iowa”.
How long do I have to pick up the item I’ve won?
Winning bidders will receive a confirmation email if the auction is accepted. They have 5 business days from the date of the confirmation email to pay for and pick up their auction item(s). If arrangements are made with a DPD representative during those 5 days we may be able to extend the deadline but this decision will be made on a case-by-case basis. Items not picked up within 5 business days, and with no prior arrangement in place, are subject to relisting or disposal.
